I know most of it, of course... haha.
but It's good to have someone that reminds you of it.
I really need to start thinking more theoretical when making a shot, most of the times I focus on what looks beautifull to me, I know that if I would apply most of the things you said, it would be a lot better! :P

Soemtimes it appears as if this image is to dark, I turn my screen (flatscreen) in that case, if it seems to dark to you, I'll lighten it up.

I spend alot of time doing photography so its always drummed in to me lol. I also write articles on how to improve photography techniques and the like so im always giving people good constructive critisicm te he..........i hope lol.
Anyways, yea on my screen the Reflection looks very dark man. So dark that i didnt know it was a reflection until you mentioned it.
I had a play with it and made it lighter as it looks on my screen to show you the comparison between the 2. I also gave it a crop as i thought it needed it and also a little bit of Autumm color >

To lighten it i used Levels/Curves and Dodge and Burn - and Hue/Saturation - all done in Photoshop !!!
Can you see any difference man?

Big *ss difference dude, it's supposed to be rather dark and not autumny, I thin kthe dark colours actually give a feeling of autumn to it... I guess I feel different about it haha ;) Try pushing the level of lightness up a bit so you can see what I see :P
I find it disturbing that sometimes people can't see on their screen what you see on yours...

Daan, a good way to ensure people see an image as you do is to print it out. If your happy with the print then 9 times out of 10 people will see what your print says.
If your screen is displaying a dark image and it prints out lighter then your monitor needs calibrated/adjusted!
The final print on an image is just that - Final

though you may wish to rotate your monitor by 90 degrees...not quite sure why thats happened it viewed fine pre-upload. ANyway, thats me looking all butch  and action man looking before a jump of a 3000ft moutain!
