AmazingAtheist actual made a religious vid about aliens, lol. A lot of his recent vids have been kind of lame but I found this one amusing about aliens and God.

Well, AA has done it again. He's made a video that interested me enough that I felt like sharing it, lol. This particular vid focuses on the question of what if you decide that you are atheist....do you tell people? It's very interesting how some of his logic applies to issues in general, not just religion. What do you think?

so i think he is just taking it out on the source.

Well couldn't that be said about most of us? Oh he is definately a nutjob on some levels but aren't most of us also? Occasionally he makes some valid points though. I try to be weary of the pot calling the kettle black. This had more to do with standing up for what you believe in, verses conforming to be socially accepted. It's a fairly serious issue. I wasn't really looking for a slam on AA himself but that's cool too, hehe.
I have several people saved on the net that to me represent many different aspects of society. AA is one of many. He has faults as they all do but also displays many possitive aspects towards humanity topics at times. But yeah the opinion of AA himself is irrelavent. It's the actual issue I was after.
That guy makes a lot of vids, I mean a lot. Unfortunately it's only about 1 out of every 10 that offer any sort of insight into the human perspective. I have to go through a lot of junk with him to get anything valid that relates to what I am working on. Most of it is just random junk. But I can't complain. That's how most of the people are that I keep track of on the net, to be honest. There are a couple though that only post what is valid but they dont make posts/vids that often, lol. Problem with AA vids is he often starts with a poor argument like in this vid and then gets to the actual meat and potatoes about half way through. I sometimes find that I totally disagree with him in the beginning of his vids but then towards the second half I start to see his point, sometimes.
In AA's defense though I have to point out that for a guy who hasnt any friends, he sure has a lot of subscribers/viewers. This vid in particular has been up for less then a week and it has almost 100,000 views already. That's not bad for a nobody on youtube. Over 5,000 people have rated this vid a 4 1/2 star already so many people likely agree with him. Personally he makes me laugh sometimes and I really enjoy that.

Granted, AA has made some interesting videos before but this one in particular presents me with that rare opportunity to believe I've truly wasted 5 minutes of my life.

Please don't take any offense about how i feel about AA Elrick.
It's fine that he doesn't believe in God but the way he presented
his video was a turn off for me.
If he wants people to understand what he is talking about then he
should present himself in a better manor.
Obviously, he doesn't like anyone and from what he said, no one likes
him, so why should anyone believe in what he has to say.
Stick with your other video's that are presented in a more professional manor. Those i can believe.
As you have said before, we aren't always going to agree on everything
and that is fine.

Oh it's not a big deal H/A. It's a little disappointing that the real issue was missed but that's ok. AA doesn't always present himself the best and often his twisted humor/sarcasm goes right over peoples heads. His attempts to be funny often come off wrong. There was an issue there that is very close to the whole free the herd concept. It wasn't religion. Religion was only the example. Lets just say that in a forum full of free thinking individuals, I was a little surprised that the real issue was missed and instead the focus became AA himself. The vid just presented the issue (not in the best way, mind you). But perhaps this issue is of a more personal nature. Or perhaps I just chose poorly as a vid example. But this was the vid that got me thinking so this is the vid I posted. When I watched the vid, I saw something very different. Perhaps I read too much between the lines. I'll be more careful next time, hehe.
I have to keep in mind that my personal interests are not always going to be shared. This is no big deal. I can explore this area more through other means. It's cool.

Yeah. Your right. The real issue was probably missed but i personally
couldn't get past his whining and ranting to get a meaning out of what
he was trying to say.
Maybe in his future video's, he will be more calm as he presents his
case about not believing in God.
He must have been having a bad day when he made this video and he
just didn't present it very well at all.
