Excellent links Rob. Cal will really like the holographic universe/10 dimension stuff. Very interesting stuff. I'm not sure what that skull is. Could be a dog but the curve of the lower teeth seems so wide for a dog that small. Usually one that small would have a very sharp curve and this one looks much wider like you might expect to see in a small monkey or something. Could just be a dog though I suppose. And maybe deterioration has distorted the original shape a little. IDK. Nice links though guys.

Hey, Guys!
The Holographic Universe Theory is (as most of you know) my favorite theory, and one I have been researching for years (and writing about for as long ). The fellow in the video brought out some interesting points, but most of his info was not new to me.
Curious, though: What did you fellows think of it?
Oh, and the dog jaw video: Could very easily be the jaw (or jaw fragment) of a small terrier. I have actually seen teeth and gnarly facial hair like that on a little terrier that growled and snapped at me once upon a time! Feisty little critter!
Have a great weekend!
Your Pal, Cal |

Im kind of with you Cal, most of the info was not new to me. Whether that jaw is a dog or some other small animal, Im curious what happened to the rest of it, lol. Must have been dragged there by an animal or something.

The Jaw: The lower jaw looks like my Fox Terrier's teeth, but the upper jaw is very different. I'm not sure what that is, maybe a wolf?

Well, that was a little disappointing. From the title Rob, I thought it was going to be a much better vid but it never actually went into why people believe strange things. It just poked fun at silly stuff. And it only explored it from a perspective of strange things being untrue and very weakly at that even. But obviously just because something is strange, does not correlate with it being untrue. Overall what I got from the piece was that we shouldn't believe strange things (which I think was it's main intention) although it provided little reasoning or evidence as to why. The title is a little misleading. They should have simply called it "strange things that people believe". I was expecting something more along the lines of how the mind works, how information degenerates from person to person, how social myths are created, etc...
In all honesty it appeared to mock people more like us but not very well. It poked fun at the idea of aliens and UFOs and totally undercut the subject by placing it along side such silly antics as the pot detecter divining rods. There was no line drawn between what is obviously fake or untrue, and what is not so easily distinguished. I guess I was expecting something more like a pschology lesson and not so much a "here this is silly, laugh at this", while somebody is whispering ever so quietly in your ear, "it's only ok to believe in what is socially acceptable and we will tell you what is socially acceptable".
But just to be fair, this might be my own super-imposed message from this. What does everyone else get from the vid? My opinion may be somewhat biased.

Sorry to be harsh on your vid Rob. I was in a mood this morning and just wanted to rant. It really wasnt that bad, just not what I expected.

I'm with you on this one elrick. Him saying there are no ufo's/ aliens is what turn me way from his speech.
He is all one sided and he tries to disprove everything.
The pot detector was funny though so i give him credit on that one.

haha, no need to throw a hissy fit lads, i just found it funny is all. And i know its very one sided but then so are a lot of conspiracy theorists, and i like one quote in particular, "before we think its out of this world we should first make sure its not inside this world".
And rememeber it was poking fun at me too, and if you can't laugh at yourself then what can you do?

True Rob.
The discrediting UFOs wasn't the only thing he said that was ignorant. He also in one sentence discredited all psychic, mediums, etc.... as if all esp accounts and psychic phenomenon are just made up silly things. Well, try explaining that to the governments that have spent millions researching these areas. I just dont like Skeptic. They are just debunkers. They don't approach or research a subject unbiased. They only explore things from a predefined possition of it not being true to begin with. That's not science or even credible research. They just try to get you to not believe in anything. I've seen that guy before and I didn't care for him then either. There were some funny parts though. There are lots of things that are silly that we believe in (religion is a great example) but I think this was geared more towards the paranormal. It's a shame that so many people carry this stigma concerning UFOs and programs like this do nothing but promote more of that thinking.

Yea it was an extremely bigittod stance, which reminds me of something that happened last week. I was in a archeology lecture and the topic psuedo archeology crept up, which im sure you all know is the search for atlantis, troy...etc. But the lecturer started going on about erik van daniken and the chariots of the gods book, and stated that it was a ridicolous book and we should not even try to read it as it was bigotted and just stated that all cave painting were made by aliens, which just shows that he himself didnt even bother to read the book becuase thats not what it was about at all, and then he just went on and started ridculing the whole of psuedo archeology. Pissed me off to say the least.
