It certainly is interesting footage.....and kudos on the site, heyzeus321, it's really good. I'm between two minds to be honest. On one hand, it's quite realistic but on the other, completely unrealistic. I'm a film-maker and a lot of what I saw can be easily done.
Also, I don't hold a lot of confidence in the Russian scientist. He starts off by saying that he hopes you can read his English in somewhat broken grammar. The rest of the letter is pretty flawless including some terms that someone who doesn't speak English too well would be hard pressed to know.
I'm also confused by the angle it's being shot from. It looks like a first-person view - the figure even holds the needle up. The only saving point is the article concerning the camera on the tube - yet this debunks the idea that the alien is holding the needle in front of him, but rather showing it to the camera. Why do this if this procedure is done regularly?
I'm not saying that it's not genuine - and I admire how much research and work you've put into it - but I don't think you should get too wrapped up in it, dude. Study the footage a bit more, too. You may notice some flaws.
That's just my opinion though, dude, please don't take offence or anything.

Beholder - Thanks for your support. We need to see more of the footage in order to draw final conclusions. Right now, there is still a possibility that the footage is real. Let's hope that nothing horrible has happened to the Russian scientist and that he will release the rest of the footage like he promised.
With respect to analyzing the existing footage: No one knows what "real" alien footage looks like nor do we know what their technological capacity is, so we cannot really make any definitive conclusions based on the content of the image. As far as the technical quality of the image goes, I have been in correspondence with people from all over the world. Everyone from ufologists to doctors to filmmakers and at this point the general consensus is that we need the original source to get an accurate analysis. Here's why: in order for people to view the footage on the internet in the first place, someone had to translate the data into a digital format and then compress it or whatever to make it viewable via Windows Media, Real Player, Quicktime, etc. We can't know what parts of the resulting analysis are reflecting the original footage versus the human manipulation. |

Also, Im my opinion, the footage does not look very realistic. But I am open to being proved wrong. One more thing, did the Russian Scientist not say that the creature had 3 fingers? In the video it looks like the alien has 5 fingers, just like a normal hand? Smells fishy.

Yeah, to properly analyze the footage, we'd need the raw film, but of course, I doubt that will ever be available. Again, I'm between two minds. I'd need to see more footage.
Another thing that has been at me lately regarding the footage is this - if the footage is indeed alien in origin, how isit that we can view it? Even though it may have been on a micro-chip of some sort, do we really have the technology to be able to broadcast such footage? I would have though that their technology with regard to audio/visual footage would have varied greatly. But then again, I suppose that depends on the micro-chip (an area in which I have little knowledge - us writer/directors care little for such things!!)
I'm still undecided, but I want to believe. HAve you heard any more from the Russian?

Yeah, and he also said that the alien had claw fingers... and it is just a normal hand... Also, what is that claw thing that comes on the side of the screen?

It looks like that claw thing I mentioned is an alien with a needle... Maybe that thing on the bed is a human?

Freisa, take a look at the google video, and when watching it on 1/16th speed, freeze the frame(s) containing the alien hand. You can clearly see 3 clawlike or crablike fingers. There are 2 sections of the footage that show this detail clearly.
Beholder, the Russians claim that they were able to decode the microchip but we do not know anymore than that at this time. I have been contacted by several sources around the world offering to help the Russian scientist release the entire footage. I have forwarded this informatin to him, but have had no response from him. We are hoping that he is still alive. |

Damn, I mean, if you haven't heard from him in a while, it's not really looking too good. And Josh said that he e-mailed him two months ago too.
The chances are, if the footage is real (I've gone from 50% believing to about 75%!) he's gone. I mean, it'd be the most important footage with regards to alien lifeforms ever released to the public. Other than the internet, how come this footage hasn't been released on other forms of media? And if it's real and the Russian has been killed by government, why have they not taken the video from the internet? I'm just getting confused now....

but dude, the probably reason he isnt replying is that it was an email account set up for just this. a few points:
-Humans somehow decoded the alien footage?
-The footage itself is kinda dodgy
-It's filmed through the aliens eye?!
-The scientist is no longer responding, first of all, did he respond... ever? If yes, then perhaps theres a possibily he's been silenced.
Although, there really isn't any way to finally decide on this case, if it's footage circulated around the web, it's extremely hard to tell wether it's real. There's no place you can go to examine, no people to question, just a document and a short peice of footage to see.
Oh, and say it was real, why wouldn't it be longer than 5 minutes? I'm sure theyd at least record for the WHOLE autopsy.
